Inside The MET Museum's 'Heavenly Bodies' Exhibit
Every May, the fashion world waits with baited breath for the spring exhibition of the Costume Institute at the MET Museum. This year's exhibition, entitled "Heavenly Bodies Fashion and the Catholic Imagination" features a dialogue between fashion and medieval art. The exhibition is the largest in the Costume Institute's history, beginning at the Medieval and Byzantine Art gallery, moving to the Anna Wintour Costume Center, and concluding at the MET Cloisters.
It's hard to describe the beauty of each piece, especially since there are so many of them. Instead, take a photo tour of some of the best pieces this exhibition has to offer.
